First Joint SynGRID Scientific Journal Paper Published

SynGRID partners Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER), University of Zagreb and Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT) have published the first joint scientific journal paper within the framework of the SynGRID project.

The paper, titled “Integration of distributed energy resources in low voltage distribution networks – Croatian regulatory perspective,” addresses the challenges and opportunities related to the integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) into low-voltage distribution networks, with a specific focus on the Croatian regulatory framework.

The study provides an overview of the current regulatory environment, highlights key barriers for large-scale DER integration, and discusses implications for distribution system operators and other stakeholders involved in the energy transition. The topic directly aligns with SynGRID’s broader focus on improving the management and integration of renewable energy sources in low-voltage grids.
