SynGRID Consortium Meets in Zagreb for Fourth General Meeting
On 25 March 2026, the SynGRID consortium gathered in Zagreb for its fourth General Meeting, hosted by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb. Representatives from all project partners attended: the Institute for Innovation and Development, University of Ljubljana (IRI UL); UNIZG FER; the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT); the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems, Athens (ICCS); and Petrol. The full-day meeting was dedicated to reviewing progress, aligning on next steps and preparing for the final year of the project.
The meeting covered updates across all work packages, with a focus on upcoming deliverables and milestones. Ten deliverables remain in the final project period, with the first due in April 2026. Partners also discussed pilot site preparations and the planning of new project proposals building on SynGRID’s results.
On the dissemination side, the consortium reflected on the Showcase Event held the previous day, which brought together over 50 participants from TSOs, DSOs, SMEs and academia. Planning for the fourth newsletter and upcoming conference participation was also discussed.
Looking ahead, the consortium is already preparing for the SynGRID Summer School, taking place in Athens from 20 to 24 April 2026, with 20 selected participants from across Europe.
