SynGRID special session at SST 2026 in Osijek

After two years, the International Conference on Smart Systems and Technologies (SST) returns to Osijek, Croatia, from 28 to 30 October 2026. This year, SynGRID will hold its own special session at the conference, titled “Creating synergies in Widening countries on the topic of low-voltage grid management”.

SST is organised and hosted by our project partner, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology Osijek (FERIT) at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Now in its seventh edition, the conference brings together researchers and practitioners working on the theory and practice of smart systems and technologies across electrical engineering, communications, computer science, control systems and robotics, along with interdisciplinary research and applications. Over three days, the programme includes keynote lectures, a PhD Forum and parallel sessions on topics ranging from power system analysis, renewable energy integration and electric vehicles to cybersecurity, computer vision and large language models.

The SynGRID session takes place on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, from 14:45 to 16:30 in Room B – Kesten at Hotel Osijek. It brings together eight papers on battery storage, prosumers and local energy communities, covering battery modelling and state estimation, the sizing and operation of prosumer battery systems, energy sharing and peer-to-peer trading, electric vehicle flexibility and renewable hosting capacity in distribution grids.
