Description of the project and summer school
Following the SynGRID Summer School held in Ljubljana, the programme continues with its second edition in Athens (20–24 April 2026), hosted at the National Technical University of Athens. This year’s theme “Intelligent and Secure Power Systems: Microgrids, Control, Stability and Real-Time Validation” focuses on modern approaches to designing, operating, and validating resilient power systems through lectures, practical sessions, and interaction with leading energy stakeholders in Greece.
The draft programme spans five days, starting with welcome and project introductions, followed by technical lectures (microgrids, stability, cybersecurity, and control), hands-on lab sessions (including HIL/PHIL-oriented activities), and an industry/DSO visit (HEDNO), plus an Athens city tour and a final wrap-up discussion and closing.
